…LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL
How you wonder, at times, when areas of life pull you inward making you feel like a festered knot, a trembling leaf or a forgotten or fallen star. We all need love and we all need to feel seen or witnessed as the brilliant beings we ALL are, in one way or another.
I’m a positive Pollyanna to the point I make my own ears squeak. And, I have trouble believing myself at time. My positivism is frankly a strategy and mindset I’ve adopted as I battle my own ‘self’ and need for reassurance at different times in my life, be it relational, in taking steps with new endeavors, at work, play, you name it….I’m fraught with self doubt, anxiety and fear in all manner of things. We all are from time to time.
The key I suppose is, I know I will ALWAYS ultimately shift whatever is haunting me. I try not to give the doomsday cloud that visits in one area or another in my life, sometimes quite often, (depending on where on the highwire I find myself), but I don’t give it ultimate power. It may rock the shores of my soul, it might tempt my mind with thoughts of its ability to be REAL, but it isn’t. Just as thoughts are things, we all have dominion over the thoughts WE choice to embrace and make real.
But, gee, such a turbulent ship at sea can our emotions be.
With new projects on my horizon and the routine of my days changing moment to moment, I know my own power to think, change, manifest and realize new things. And with that I find gapping holes of time open, to be filled with whatever will make me feel full, satisfied, as after a good meal.
I find myself at times looking for something outside of me to fill me up, a conversation with a friend, food, movies, reassurance, applause as my current daily ‘gotta dos’ and ‘need to dos’ have diminished and it’s just me, full of choice, opportunity and……SPACE.
We must take care to fill those open areas with the RIGHT thoughts, actions, feelings. Freedom is at time daunting, a privilege and responsibility.
Creating something from ‘nothing’ can be an onerous life option to embrace. Likewise, a day filled with rote responsibility can hold us back, lack the freedom we all say we desire. When opportunity meets desire, and the other alternate voices are held at bay, this is where new worlds are created, the ones we choose.
As we move into the great year of 2012….embrace the courage to step through the areas which challenge your dreams and know, for sure, that you have a power which reaches further than any doubt or fear can shed its impact. Know too that timing and choice go hand in hand and you have support in more areas than you know.
So come on now, Laissez les bon temps roulet…. let those good time roll!
